Watched Enchanted yesterday with Darlin... O my God!!! it's so enchanting and adorable! I can't stop laughing.. Love that chipmunk! Super cute!!! hehe... Btw, yesterday i found out that my Darlin look like a chipmunk... opz... :)

Enchanted
****
(USA) Directed by Kevin Lima. Starring Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Susan Sarandon.

Once in a blue moon comes a movie so enchanting and adorable, it makes you want to believe in true love all over again. After 2001’s Serendipity starring John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale, it’s about time the hopeless romantics in us give in to the delectable and fairytale-like charms of Enchanted, arguably the most romantic and enjoyable comedy we’ve seen in recently.
The plot is silly fun: The film opens in an animated sequence in a land far, far away, where the quirky Princess Giselle (Amy Adams, Junebug) is about to marry the heroic Prince Edward (James Marsden, Hairspray). But her plans are thwarted when the evil Queen Narissa (Susan Sarandon, Dead Man Walking) banishes her into our real world, and Giselle ends up in downtown Manhattan, and into the arms of busy attorney Robert (Patrick Dempsey, TV’s Grey Anatomy), and his daughter Morgan (newcomer Rachel Covey). The cynical Robert refuses to believe that Giselle is a true princess, but over time, in the spirit of fairytales, the two end up falling in love and live happily every after (like you can’t see that coming already).
Indie actress Amy Adams, who last impressed us as the offbeat pregnant mom in Junebug, is an absolute delight in her role, and deserves a Golden Globe nomination. Her Giselle is thoroughly lovable, cute, pretty, perhaps a little bit ditzy--but she manages to capture our hearts with her sincere performance anyway. And blimey, what a beautiful voice she has, as she croons to the catchy tunes penned by the legendary Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz, who were responsible for previous Disney animations like The Little Mermaid and Pocahontas. Ably supported by an all-round great supporting cast and special effects (check out the cute chipmunk character), Enchanted is in a word, enchanting. We love, love, love, love it to bits!--Terry Ong
